A British pub has beaten its own Guinness World Record for stocking the largest variety of gins

The Old Bell Inn in Saddleworth, Greater Manchester, secured the Guinness World Record title in 2014 with a back bar boasting no fewer than 404 different gin varieties.

Now, the pub has reached 600 different variants with its latest addition to the collection – recently launched Thomas Dakin Gin.

“We’re really excited to have this join our gin family,” said Philip Whiteman, The Old Bell Inn owner, as reported by the Mirror.

“It’s incredible to think that I have produced something that is unique in the world.

“We have accomplished something great that our customers can enjoy.”

A spokesman for Guinness World Records said: “We would not be here if it was not for the officially amazing people that continue to break records.

“Whether they break a record as an individual or a team we celebrate all of their achievements.”
