Camus Cognac names Netherlands distributor
Cognac house Camus has appointed Fine Drinks as its exclusive distributor in the Netherlands, effective 1 January.
Fine Drinks will now distribute Camus Cognac and Ungava Gin in the Netherlands
Established in 1992, Almere-based wine and spirits distributor Fine Drinks will also handle Camus’ Ungava Gin under the new deal.
“We are convinced that our cooperation with Fine Drinks will lift the position of our brand in the Dutch market to a much higher level,” said James Nisbet, area director at Camus.
“We will prove that the regional Cognac strategy will bring new dynamics to the while cognac category in the Dutch market.”
Franz Lieven, owner of Fine Drinks, added: “We are proud to take over responsibility for this amazing global brand Camus. We are convinced that this is a big step for our company and are proud to have the opportunity to take the Camus brand position in the Netherlands to a higher level.”
Last month, Emperador’s Scotch whisky arm Whyte & Mackay signed a deal with Camus to distribute its namesake Cognac and Ungava Gin in the UK.
