Beam Suntory launches Peated Malts of Distinction gift pack

Beam Suntory has unveiled the Peated Malts of Distinction gift pack, which sees each of the portfolio’s four Peated Malt whiskies together in one box set for the festive season.

The gift set is aimed at both whisky enthusiasts and curious consumers

The miniature gift set contains 50ml bottles of The Ardmore Legacy, Connemara Original, Bowmore Small Batch and Laphroaig 10 Year Old whiskies, and features an image of a traditionally-cut peat block on the packaging.

A mini-booklet explaining the peated whisky production process and the variety of peat flavours present in the range is also contained in the set.

The gifting has launched across major retailers in Germany and at specialist whisky retailers in the UK, and is said to be aimed at both whisky enthusiasts and consumers looking to “explore a unique set of flavour profiles”.
Gareth Brown, senior director of international Scotch, Irish and Japanese whisky, said: “At Beam Suntory, we are in a great position to educate and offer our expertise on the dynamic peated malts category.
“The unique flavour profiles, versatility and balance of the Peated Malts of Distinction make it the perfect collection for new and existing whisky drinkers this Christmas.
“The category is undergoing extensive growth in EMEA and this gift pack looks to capitalise on this growth within our key markets.”
Beam Suntory launched the Peated Malts of Distinction in 2014 in a bid to mark the company’s “leading position” in the Peated Malts category, while educating consumers and trade on the variety of taste profiles available.
The Peated Malts of Distinction gift pack will retail at £19.99.
