Skyy Vodka gets festive with cranberry flavour

Gruppo Campari is gearing up for the holiday season by adding a cranberry variant to its range of Skyy Vodka flavours.

Skyy Coastal Cranberry has joined the vodka brand’s range of fruit flavours

Released in the run-up to Thanksgiving in the US, Skyy Infusion Coastal Cranberry is described as a “seasonally-inspired” flavour that is “sweet and tart”.

The vodka has been created by extracting the essence of cranberries grown in Massachusetts, which is then used to infuse Skyy Vodka.

“A vodka cranberry or a vodka cranberry with a splash of soda are two of the most popular cocktails ordered by consumers in the US today,” said Umberto Luchini, vice president of marketing at Campari America

“Skyy Infusions Coastal Cranberry easily recreates that same experience at the bar without the calories of cranberry juice

“While sugar-sweet confectionary flavored vodkas have seen a sharp decline in sales lately, we have seen continued growth with our true-to-fruit infusions made with natural ingredients.

“It is clear that consumers and bartenders alike are looking for more authentic, fresh fruit flavors in their cocktails.”

The new flavour will feature “prominently” in Skyy Vodka’s “Let’s Holidayy” marketing campaign, which encompasses home advertising, social media, and on- and off-premise activations.

Skyy Infusions Coastal Cranberry (35% abv, US$13.99) joins the brand’s flavoured portfolio, including: Citrus, Blood Orange, Pineapple, Georgia Peach, Vanilla Bean, Moscato Grape, Wild Strawberry, Coconut, Dragon Fruit, Cherry, Passion Fruit, and Raspberry.

Earlier this year, the brand expanded its flavoured portfolio with the addition of Texas Grapefruit and Pacific Blueberry variants.
