The Cognac house has launched its One Life/Live Them campaign across four global markets – Cognac, New York, Shanghai and London – within the space of two weeks.

The Avengers and The Hurt Locker actor Jeremy Renner has been recruited as ambassador for the brand, starring in a one-minute advertisement which will be aired in western markets.

Meanwhile, Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming has also been named brand ambassador for Rémy Martin in a bid to engage audiences in China and the East.

While Renner and Xiaoming star in the two major advertisements for the campaign, celebrities in local markets have also been recruited for the activation.

Speaking at a press conference in London this week, Rémy Martin CEO Eric Vallat said the campaign will run for “as long as it can last”.

“We believe this is a very strong campaign and we have a lot of ways in which we can build on it,” he added. “It could last for up to 10 years if we build on it year after year. There’s a lot more to come.”

Renner attended the London launch of the campaign, which coincided with the return of La Maison Rémy Martin – a private member’s club for Cognac fans which will remain open for four weeks.

The launch was also attended by British actress Gemma Chan and model and writer Laura Bailey.

Of his role in the campaign, which encourages people to “explore, embrace and celebrate” all of their talents, Renner said: “I am very hard to label, and I live my life around that, so this campaign is a version of my life.

“These are things I express to others. The idea of not being pigeon holed, not just at work but socially too. It’s a beautiful idea that resonates with me.”
