Pinkster Gin launches Boozy Berries

Pinkster Gin has released its first product extension since it launched in 2013, called Boozy Berries.

Boozy Berries is the first product extension from Pinkster Gin

Boozy Berries are gin infused raspberries, which are grown at Sunclose Farm, in Milton, which is just outside of Cambridge in the UK.

“In keeping with our brand, we’re excited to be offering consumers something extremely tasty yet rather quirky,” said Stephen Marsh, Pinkster’s managing director. “Whether dipped in chocolate or used in a sorbet, the feedback has been resoundingly positive from our trial, encouraging us to go into full-scale production.

“From a business and sustainable point of view, it’s extremely pleasing that we’re able to create a new product and minimise waste.

“Above all, it neatly reinforces the fact that Pinkster is a natural premium gin. If you want your pudding to pack a punch, look no further than these inebriated raspberries.”

The product has been designed as a dessert ingredient, but initial feedback from the on-trade has demonstrated strong interest for the product to be used in cocktails.

Boozy Berries has already secured listings with farm shops, food halls and delicatessens but Pinkster is “confident” there will be greater uptake from independent wine merchants.

“Pinkster is enjoying rapid growth as we continue to build listings with national and regional distributors,” added Marsh. “Many existing accounts have been clamouring to stock Boozy Berries alongside the gin.

“Sure, the product has stand-alone appeal, but by highlighting the natural qualities of Pinkster, and our artisan approach, it’s also set to drive gin sales.

“Christmas is looming up fast but given we’re a pink gin Valentine’s Day presents a key opportunity.”

Boozy Berries are currently available at Chapel Down Wines, The Framlingham Wine Shop, The Square Wine Company and Snape Maltings Farm Shop in Aldeburgh at an RRP of £6 per 300g jar.
