George Clooney founds Casamigos importing company

Casamigos Tequila founders George Clooney, Rande Gerber and Michael Meldman have launched an importing company to look after the brand, called Casamigos Spirits Company.

Effective from 1 January 2016, Casamigos Spirits Company will be the exclusive importer for Casamios Tequila due to the “rapid growth and success” of the brand.

“We are extremely proud of Casamigos Tequila’s success and are very happy people enjoy drinking Casamigos as much as we do,” commented Casamigos owners Clooney, Gerber and Meldman.

The new venture will be spearheaded by Lee Ensidler, former CEO of Sidney Frank Importing Company.

Sidney Frank Importing Company won the rights to import Casamigos Tequila under Einsidler’s leadership in April 2014.

Einsidler will be assisted by Adam Rosen, EVP, and Olivier Bugat, VP, of Sidney Frank Importing Company at Casamigos Spirits Company.
