Bacardi GTR releases oldest Dewar’s
By Kristiane SherryBacardi Global Travel Retail has released Dewar’s 30YO NE Plus Ultra Blended Scotch Whisky for DFS Masters of Wines and Spirits, the oldest ever liquid from the brand.
The oldest ever liquid from Dewar’s is available at DFS Masters of Wines and SpiritsDewar’s 30YO NE Plus Ultra is a small batch release, sourced from the John Dewar & Sons private reserve.
Each whisky in the blend has been aged for at least 30 years before being finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks.
The liquid is presented in a simple, “meticulously crafted” wooden presentation casket along with a certificate of authenticity signed by Stephanie Macleod, Dewar’s seventh master blender. The main bottle is accompanied by a 20cl sample so collectors can taste the whisky without opening the release.
Nine numbered and signed bottles have been created, and will join the DFS Group’s Masters of Wines and Spirits line-up, which takes place in Singapore from 7-30 November. The product will be available in selected travel retail locations from December 2015.
The DFS in-store presentation will be hosted at the DFS T Galleria and in the main DFS store at Changi Airport’s Terminal 3.
Irving Holmes Wong, regional director Asia Pacific and MEA, Bacardi Global Travel Retail said: “This new DEWAR’S 30YO NE Plus Ultra has a century-old heritage behind it and we are delighted to present its exclusive debut as part of the highly prestigious DFS Masters of Wines and Spirits presentation in Singapore.
“This ultra premium limited edition provides discerning whisky aficionados with the opportunity to encounter the oldest blend ever produced of the rarest and most legendary blended Scotch whiskies in the world, produced by John Dewar & Sons.”
