Walsh Whiskey Distillery has expanded its international footprint with new listings in more than 900 establishments for its Irish whiskey brands.

Walsh Whiskey Distillery has secured new listings for its Writers Tears Irish whiskey brand

In the US, the company’s The Irishman Irish whiskey brand has secured listings with 87 restaurants in the Ruths steakhouse group, as well as in 54 Hannaford stores in Maine and 11 Fadó Irish Pub chains across numerous states.

Hotfoot over to Italy, and the distillery has struck a deal with Illva Saronno, owner of Disaronno, to distribute The Irishman Single Malt and The Irishman Founder’s Reserve, throughout the country.

In addition, UK retailer Marks & Spencer’s has expanded the availability of the distillery’s Writers Tears expression to 439 stores to meet growing demand, and in Spain The Irishman Founder’s Reserve, Single Malt and 12 Year Old Single Malt have all secured listings in 80 El Carte Inglés stores.

Meanwhile in Australia, Dan Murphy’s is now selling Writers Tears in all 196 stores nationwide making it one of the “fastest growing Irish whiskeys in Australia”.

Earlier this month, Walsh Whiskey Distillery received three giant copper pot stills and a set of column stills as the site edges ever closer to its January 2016 commissioning date.
