US distributor names Beam Suntory educational director

Southern Wine & Spirits of America has appointed a national director of education, Beam SuntoryAlbert will be tasked with leading the overall coordination of Beam Suntory brand knowledge for the largest wine and spirits producer in the US, covering brands including Jim Beam Bourbon, Marker’s Mark Whiskey, Pinnacle Vodka, Midori Liqueur and Sauza Tequila.
“Beam Suntory is the world’s third-largest premium spirits company, and our brand portfolio includes many of the most recognisable names with the most storied history in the spirit industry,” said Philip Raimondo, senior manager, global brand education for Beam Suntory.
“We trust Bridget Albert’s industry experience, knowledge and passion, and we look forward to working with her to further educate the Southern Wine & Spirits sales force about the defining characteristics of each unique Beam Suntory brand.”
Albert’s history in the drinks industry spans 20 years and she is also an honouree of the James Beard Foundation.
Over the last three years, Albert has worked as regional director of mixology in Illinois, Kentucky and Minnesota, and is the founder of the National Charity Foundation of the United States’ Bartenders’ Guild.
