Three Ships unveils pack redesign

Distell-owned Three Ships whisky has introduced a new bottle shape and label design across its product range.

Three Ships has unveiled a new packaging design and bottle shape.

The “proudly South African” whisky brand will roll out the redesign across the country from October.

“The new packaging enriches the iconic visual cues of the brand and gives a greater prominence on shelf due to its fresh and contemporary design,” said marketing manager, Liezl Dippenaar. “Our aim was to add a more modern and premium look to our brand without compromising on our proud heritage.

“Bold and dynamic elements such as the masculine shoulders, thicker glass base and new label shape all blend seamlessly with the iconic Three Ships illustration, the rope detail in the logo lock-up and embossing which allows for easier handling and a perfect pour.”

Three Ships whisky was launched almost 40 years ago and today the product range comprises Three Ships Select, Three Ships Premium Select 5YO, Three Ships Special Release Bourbon Cask Finish, and Three Ships Single Malt Whisky 10YO.

In July this year, Distell launched Three Ships sister brand, Bain’s Cape Mountain Whisky, in the US.
