Lucas Bols confirms new largest shareholder

Ketel One Vodka co-owner Nolet Group is now the largest shareholder in Dutch spirits producer Lucas BolsNolet Group, which co-owns the Ketel One Vodka brand with UK drinks giant Diageo, has now taken over ACC Capital’s 21% stake in Lucas Bols.
The firm said that its will keep its shareholding under 30% as part of its “strategic investment” strategy.
A spokesperson for Lucas Bols said: “For Lucas Bols it is a shift in our shareholder base – from one large shareholder to the other.”
Earlier this year, the company reported a marginal sales dip in 2014/15 to €77.7 million, blaming the “negative effect” of the Japanese yen and Russian rouble.
However, due to “strong growth” in Latin America and Africa, sales in the emerging markets grew 2%.
Lucas Bols entered the Amsterdam stock exchange this year as the “next logical step” in its development and as part of a bid to raise €125 million (£98M).
The financial terms of Nolet Group’s deal with AAC Captial have not been disclosed.
