Ghost Vodka names competition winner

Ghost Vodka has named Marco Angio, of London’s Buddha Bar, as the winner of its latest cocktail competition, the Great British Shake Off.

Buddha Bar’s Marco Angio has been crowned winner of the Great British Shake Off

Held at the London Cocktail Week Cocktail Village in Spitalfields Market on Tuesday this week, the competition saw six bartenders battle it out for the winning title.

Angio impressed with his Flaming Ghost cocktail – a mix of Ghost Vodka, fresh lemon juice, fresh raspberries, vanilla syrup, and rhubarb liqueur – and scooped the winning title.

“The Great British Shake Off have seen many bartenders that have never competed before but shown amazing skills,” said Claudia Carrozzi, who hosted the competition.

“The flavours, the presentation and the inspiration behind their creations have gone beyond our expectations. They demonstrated great skills and great standards.”

David Stokes, shareholder of the brand, sat of the judging panel. He said: “It was fantastic to see so many young, creative bartenders with some great ideas that really complemented the brand.

“Congratulations to all the contestants and we hope to see them again in the future”.
