Diageo launches three Singleton TR exclusives
By Melita KielyDiageo Global Travel and Middle East (GTME) has launched three variants of The Singleton of Glendullan Scotch whisky exclusively in travel retail.
The Singleton of Glendullan features three expressions: Glendullan Classic, Double Matured and Master’s ArtThe range comprises The Singleton of Glendullanl Glendullan Classic, The Singleton of Glendullan Double Matured and The Singleton of lendullan Master’s Art.
“We are expanding our footprint to meet global demand so that consumers can pick up at least one expression of The Singleton, no matter where they are,” said Peter Fairbrother, global marketing director of Diageo GTME.
“With heritage of over 100 years of whisky-making craftsmanship, The Singleton variants are designed to be accessible and instantly enjoyable from the very first sip.”
The Glendullan Classic single malt whisky is said to emulate the “true character of the Glendullan distillery, and has been matured in selected casks to deliver fresh, fruit flavours including green apples and pears.
Secondly, the Double Matured single malt has spent time maturing separately in both European and American oak cask before being combined in a “special cask” to further develop the “flavour and complexity” of the spirit, with ripe fruit notes.
Lastly, the Master’s Art variant is the work of master of malt Maureen Robinson and has been created in small batches and strictly limited quantities.
Finished in select oak casks conditioned with Muscat, this whisky is said to boast deep, complex, sweet and spicy notes.
All three expressions have been bottled at 40% abv and are available in 1L bottles.
The Singleton of Glendullan Classic has an RRP of £38, while the Double Matured carries an RRP of £57 and the Master’s Art is priced at RRP £103.
