Basil Hayden’s leaves Bourbon out of gift pack

Beam Suntory-owned Bourbon Basil Hayden’s has partnered with Maine-based footwear brand Quoddy to create a holiday season gift pack − but doesn’t include a bottle of its whiskey.

Despite appearances, the Basil Hayden’s + Quoddy gift set does NOT include a bottle of its Bourbon

The two companies will produce 100 limited edition gift sets described as “perfect for Bourbon fans”. Each will contain four leather wrapped rocks glasses, a pair of custom, made-to-order, co-branded Basil Hayden’s + Quoddy shoes, and a Basil Hayden’s + Quoddy leather gift box. But, despite appearances, a bottle of Basil Hayden’s Bourbon is not included.

50 packs will be available from Basil Hayden’s Bourbon Holiday Shop from 1 November, with another 50 released on 1 December. Each pack retails at US$399.98.

Despite the omission, Halley Kehoe, director, small batch Bourbons and Beam Suntory, says the company has created “a premium gift set” that “we hope Bourbon and shoe fans alike will enjoy”.

Basil Hayden’s is part of Beam Suntory’s Bourbon Legends campaign, which was rolled out to UK on-trade accounts this summer.
