Top showcases at Boutique Bar Show

The Boutique Bar Show is coming back to London next week, promising to showcase the latest trends in bar management and mixology.

Boutique Bar Show returns to London on 22-23 September

Touted as “the best platform to engage with UK bars”, the Boutique Bar Show returns on 22-23 September with more than 100 brands exhibiting across five rooms at the extraordinary London Art House, Islington.

A host of workshops await budding bartenders, from presentations on commercially conditioned cocktails to aroma sessions on “training” the nose.

Guests will have the opportunity to meet the makers of esteemed Tequila and mezcal brands and learn what it takes to grow agave plants, attend a workshop on how to lead a high performance team, and even submit their own “perfect 11pm drink” to the Digestivo Cocktail competition.

Boutique Bar Show founder Andrew Scutts, said: “This year Boutique Bar Show is tearing up the traditional trade show experience in the quirky setting of the London Art House.

“With five carefully curated rooms showcasing new and interesting brands, guests can spend quality time with makers and producers from around the world.

“Boutique Bar Show stands out for the quality of exhibitors and visitors in a very intimate environment, conducive to doing business and making important new business contacts,” he added.

Visitors who register for the show at www.boutiquebarshow.com will be given the first opportunity to sign up for workshops and masterclasses.

Durham Distillery

Exhibiting: Durham Gin, Durham Vodka

Why are you exhibiting at the Boutique Bar Show?

We’re one of the fastest growing craft distilleries in the UK, and have just secured our first national distribution deal with Majestic. We want to spread the word about what we do, because we’re really proud of the quality of spirits we produce.

What can visitors expect when they visit your stand?

Great gin and vodka, a friendly chat with one of our team, and some interesting facts about Durham – the greatest and most historic city in the UK!

Are you launching any new signature serves at the event?

We’re a bit sceptical about the number of signature serves proliferating at the moment. We try and encourage people to use seasonal produce to create a varied range of serves throughout the year.

Who are your audience?

There are lots of drinkers out there who want to make the move into craft spirits, and Durham Gin is a great place to start.

The Duppy Share

Exhibiting: The Duppy Share rum portfolio

What appeals to you most about the Boutique Bar Show?

We love the Boutique Bar Show because it’s an exciting edit of the new and innovative brands in the spirits industry.  It’s a great opportunity for us to meet London’s top bartenders and introduce them to the world of the Duppy.

What can visitors expect when they visit your stand?

A tot of rum punch and a generous dash of Duppy mischief.

What’s your focus at the London show?

We’ll be talking about the modern take on tiki. Gone are the parasols and flower garlands. Instead, think of a return to the glamour of early Caribbean travel, layers of tropical flavours, blended rum and the use of spices such as nutmeg.

Which type of drinker are you targeting?

Rum has such a wide appeal through sipping, mixing and sharing. All are welcome to join the rum revolution.

The West Indies Rum and Spirits Producers’ Association (WIRSPA)

Exhibiting: All rums with the Authentic Caribbean Rum Marque, including Brugal, Angostura Limited, and Mount Gay Distilleries

Why are you exhibiting at the London show this year?

We want to showcase the range of rums which carry the Authentic Caribbean Rum Marque – a symbol of authenticity, provenance and quality for rums within the WIRSPA family. As usage of the Marque grows it will act as a visual symbol to help trade customers and consumers identify authentic Caribbean rum brands, but in the short-term it will be used to promote the development of authentic Caribbean rum as a distinct sector within the drinks industry. It’s also an opportunity for visitors to sample the quality and diversity of rums from the Caribbean.

What can visitors expect when they visit your stand?

They’ll taste 18 different rums and learn about the heritage of  the region they come from, and meet Amit Sood, a member of our international panel of experts who will guide visitors through the range and educate them on the history of the islands.

Love Drinks

Exhibiting: Mr Black coffee liqueur, Lanique

What attracted Love Drinks to the Boutique Bar Show?

Love Drinks has been exhibiting at the show since its inception. It’s a great opportunity to launch and introduce new brands to a targeted audience as well as ensuring the other brands within our portfolio are at the forefront of people’s minds.

What can visitors expect when they visit your stand?

Love Drinks are delighted to be launching a new addition to our portfolio, Mr Black – an award-winning cold press coffee liqueur from Australia, which has one of the most innovative coffee cultures in the world. They can sample Mr Black in new-world coffee cocktails like Ryeball – Mr Black, rye whisky and Campari.

Are you introducing any signature serves?

For the second year in a row we’ll be bringing Lanique to the Boutique Bar Show, a drink that is made with Attar of Rose. Attar of Rose is created by steam distilling thousands of rose petals and the process only creates a small amount of liquid. Because just a tiny amount is created, it makes Attar of Rose more expensive than gold. We’ll be serving the drink in two formats; Lanique and Lime – the signature serve – and a Lanique Negroni.

10 Degrees C

Exhibiting: 1724 Tonic Water, Special Touch Botanicals

Why are you exhibiting at the Boutique Bar Show?

It’s quite simply the best show to engage with the cocktail market in a small and intimate setting.

What can visitors expect when visiting your stand?

We’re exhibiting four products from our range. Firstly, 1724 Tonic Water; we’ll be showcasing the flexibility of this product with  some unusual and distinctive serves such as mezcal, Tequila, cachaça, rum and even coffee. In addition, we’ll be showcasing Special Touch Botanicals, which is perfect for infusing and dressing cocktails, and takes garnishing to a new level. We will also be introducing guests to an expanded range of the mezcal brands Marca Negra and Meteoro, and the brand owner will be taking part in a masterclass at the show. Finally, we’ll be demonstrating the use of Copperhead Gin in G&Ts  and cocktails.

Who are you targeting?

Consumers who want to  seek out high quality, small, and unique brands.

Cask Liquid Marketing

Exhibiting: Ysabel Regina, Capucana Cachaça, Fords Gin, Silent Pool Gin

Why choose to exhibit at the Boutique Bar Show?

We want to showcase our niche brands to discerning drinkers who are keen to try new products and are looking for that “something special”. It’s a great opportunity to meet fans of fine spirits.

What can visitors expect to discover at the Cask Liquid Marketing stand?

We’ll be offering in-depth knowledge and education of all four brands – with a  particular focus on Fords Gin and Silent Pool Gin, which will both launch at the show. Visitors can also look forward to tasting the signature serves of each spirit.

Pococello

Exhibiting: Pococello

What brings you to the Boutique Bar Show?

We attended the event last year and really loved the range of interesting and up-and-coming brands on show. We certainly thought it was the best showcase for new things to the industry that we’d seen.

What can visitors expect when they visit your stand?

We’ll be serving up ice cold shots of our Pococello, and some tasters of our Granita serve. We’ll also be teaming up with Fever Tree to deliver a refreshing Limoncello Tonic. Visitors can also expect to taste guest cocktails from some of London’s most famous restaurants and bars such as White Lyan, Purl, Clove Club and Hawksmoor.

Who makes up your target audience?

We are targeting everyone – whether they already love Limoncello, or hate it after a bad experience with a poor variant of this great drink!

Koval Distillery

Exhibiting: KOVAL Dry Gin, Millet Whiskey, Four Grain Whiskey, Bourbon, and Rye Whiskey

Why are you exhibiting at the London show this year?

We’re exhibiting for two reasons. Firstly, because we’re an independent small batch distillery – we believe in the show’s mission to showcase new, unique, high quality spirits to the UK. The second is to help introduce our products to London and the greater UK, a newer – and very exciting – market for us. We believe that the Boutique Bar Show will be a perfect audience.

What can visitors expect when they visit your stand?

Visitors can expect to try a range of whiskeys from our 100% Millet Whiskey to our Four Grain Whiskey, along with guides to their own unique tasting profiles. We’ll also have our newest award-winning release, KOVAL Dry Gin. A taste of KOVAL always comes with a story about the distillery or our background as well. We only use the “heart cut” of the distillate, which makes KOVAL products bright, clean, and grain-forward.
