Laphroaig celebrates anniversary with 16YO
In celebration of its 200th anniversary, Islay Scotch whisky distillery Laphroaig has launched a 16-year-old limited edition in travel retail.

The Beam Suntory-owned distillery, first established 1815, also re-released its 15-year-old single malt expression earlier this year to mark its bicentenary.
Laphroaig 16 Year Old is described as having a taste of citrus, vanilla and orchard, leading to “more intense fruit aromas”, additional caramel notes and peat smoke when water is added.
“This year marks Laphroaig’s 200th anniversary and with this milestone comes an exceptional liquid,” said Michael Cockram, Beam Suntory GTR marketing director. “Laphroaig 16 YO is something to savour and share with good friends and family.
“Matured for 16 years, the liquid is truly unique and brings something special to travel retail shelves for the fans of Laphroaig.”
Bottled at 48.4% abv, Laphroaig 16 Year Old is now available exclusively in global travel retail channels at an RRP of €45.
