New US whiskey brand inspired by beach life
By Amy HopkinsMarketing and distribution firm Taliera has launched a new brand of American whiskey that “celebrates beach life”.
Beach Whiskey is said to “cut across traditional beverage categories”The Beach Whiskey range is comprised of an Original (40% abv) and flavoured brand extensions Bonfire Cinnamon (35% abv) and Island Coconut (26% abv) bottlings that have been created using corn whiskey from partner distilleries.
“Over the last decade, the spirits industry has seen significant growth in both market size and share,” said J. Smoke Wallin, co-founder and CEO of Beach Whiskey and CEO of Taliera.
“At the same time, global fascination with American whiskeys and the explosive growth of flavours in the category means the time is right for a new brand like Beach Whiskey.”
In addition to Wallin, founding investors in Beach Whiskey include TV and radio personality Billy Bush, and entrepreneurs Andrew McGinnis and Kenny Dichter.
Described as an American whiskey “made for sun worshiping, moon chasing, fun seekers” which “cuts across traditional beverage categories”, Beach Whiskey also targets the cocktail market.
The variant will be initially available in Southern California and Florida, with a selective rollout planned in major markets during early 2016.
