Cocktail shot machine seeks Kickstarter funding
By Annie HayesThe creators of a new “party-to-go” cocktail shot machine, Eazyshot, have launched a Kickstarter campaign in a bid to raise US$65,000.
The “party” device pours cocktail shots and plays musicThe device is marketed as a rechargeable, portable shot drinks machine which pours “cocktail shots” and plays music by connecting wirelessly to the user’s smartphone via an app.
It contains six “drinks tanks” which can be filled with pre-made drinks packs — such as the Mexican Set which contains canisters filled with Pisang Ambon, strawberry liqueur, blue curaçao, yellow banana liqueur, fresh lemon and Tequila — allowing the user to make a variety of different shot combinations.
A statement on the Kickstarter page reads: “Couple of years ago, in the middle of the party with friends we realised that there [was] not a single person [who] is able to make a shot drink.
“The idea came up to create the world’s first portable shot machine. The first model, D1, was designed and created as a funny toy for close friends [rather] than [to] pursue a goal of a large-scale production.
“However, the demand was growing and we started to receive orders from friends to produce [the] machine as a gift. We gathered a great team of experts and professionals with the goal to make this invention useful and to add fun to our lives.”
On average, one layered shot drink made by Eazyshot will cost the customer US$1 and the battery lasts long enough to create around 100 shots.
It is equipped with a sensor so the shot will not be prepared unless a glass has been placed underneath the dispenser.
The team eventually hope to install voice control and more powerful speakers on the device, and also release a white variant, depending on how much money is raised through the campaign.
Earlier this month, the creators of a new “hidden flask” device designed to look like a computer tablet appealed for US$10,000 funding through a Kickstarter campaign.
