The Artesian at the Langham Hotel in London has just launched a new menu, Surrealism, and these guys have taken the cocktail craft to a whole new level. Team sb was fortunate enough to head down to the world’s best bar on Tuesday to sample the “surreal” delights, such as Join the Colony served in a bespoke copper ant and comprising a cocktail made from Absolut Elyx, wheat, almond, juniper and bergamot flavours poured over a fruity, savoury and sweet granola.

The cocktails on Artesian’s new Surrealism menu are quite literally bigger and better than ever before, as this enormous elephant vessel made out of Lego shows. Titled Anti Hero, the design is a nod to Mexican street art and is made from Don Julio Reposado, Muscat, gentian, verjus, smoke and blood orange flavours.

Industry professionals from around the world descended on New Orleans this week for the 2015 Tales of the Cocktail festival. Amongst the myriad of tastings and seminars to choose from, guests gathered at Old New Orleans Rum to sample some local spirits.

Bacardi was among the masses flocking to Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans this week, where the brand hosted a multitude of educational seminars and activities. Not only this, but Bacardi hosted the first annual Bacardi Softball World Series bringing bartenders and supporters together for an evening of light-hearted competition.

Tequila brand Jose Cuervo is bringing its pop-up bar “Tequila Shack” to three major music festivals this summer – Lovebox, Citadel and Wilderness Festival. The brand will create a Mexican themed “Tequila town” for guests to enjoy and will offer a selection of Mexican street food, cocktails and live DJs spinning relaxed Latino beats.

London haunt Nola has undergone a bar refurbishment and took to Facebook this week to unveil a “few sexy upgrades”.

Grey Goose toasted the US women’s football team this week as the 2015 World Cup champions were awarded for Best Team at the ESPYs, sponsored by the vodka brand.

Hand engraver of glass by appointment to Her Majesty the Queen, Philip Lawson Johnston, has crafted a series of limited edition hand-engraved bottles of The John Walker – The John Walker Philip Lawson Johnson Limited Edition. The range features two intricate designs, one depicting the scene of the “Classic MacNab” Challenge from Scottish novel John MacNab, while another shows “Distillery Heritage” in honour of the art of whisky making.

Bacardi has joined forces with Virgin Atlantic and luxury hotel brand Edition to open the first trolley cocktail service at Virgin Atlantic’s London Heathrow Clubhouse.
