Trinchero Family Estates unveils wine barrel-aged Bourbon

Trinchero Family Estates has launched Amador Whiskey Company Double Barrel Bourbon, which is finished in Napa Valley estate wine barrels.

The new expression is named after the two barrel-aging techniques employed in California and Kentucky

The newest expression from the Amador Whiskey Company brand is named after the two barrel-aging techniques employed in California and Kentucky, and will stand alongside Amador Whiskey Company’s Ten Barrels – a limited edition whiskey with only 10 barrels produced every year.

Dave Derby, senior vice president of marketing for Trinchero Family Estates, said: “To make the new Double Barrel Bourbon, we acquired 280 barrels of exceptional Kentucky Bourbon, aged from three-to-10 years in charred New American Oak and transported it to California.

“We then finished the Double Barrel Bourbon with Trinchero family’s Napa Valley estate wine barrels and bottled it at 43.4% abv.

“This Kentucky-born, California-raised Bourbon is well-balanced with complex flavors of vanilla, oak, brown sugar and spice. This is the perfect spirit for special occasions.”

The new whiskey has an RRP of US$40 for 750mL, and will be available in select on-premise locations and retailers across the US.
