Scotch ‘infused’ Beam Bourbon to launch in July
Beam Suntory has revealed further details of its new limited edition Scotch and Bourbon hybrid whisky blend, Jim Beam Kentucky Dram.
Jim Beam Kentucky Dram will launch in global travel retail next month
The variant, described as a “premium Bourbon infused with Highland Scotch whisky”, was first announced in October last year.
However Beam Suntory has now confirmed a release date for the product, which will be available in global travel retail from next month, and also revealed its bottle design.
Jim Beam Kentucky Dram is made by blending the standard Jim Beam Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey with a “touch” of peated Highland Scotch, adding a “smoky flavour” to the “vanilla and oaky notes” of the Bourbon.
The new release will be encased in a premium gift tin, which introduces consumers to the seven generations of Beam master distillers since 1795
“Bourbon is growing at a phenomenal rate across the globe and with our retail partners we are committed to building the category, focusing on premiumisation, enhancing the shopping experience and educating drinkers on bourbon’s heritage,” said Michael Cockram, marketing director for Beam Suntory.
“The launch of this product will provide not only something unique for consumers in travel retail but also elevate bourbon, by inviting consumers who already enjoy it to explore the category at a higher level.”
Bottled at 40% abv, Jim Beam Kentucky Dram will carry an RRP of £34.99.
In March this year, the brand expanded its presence in the flavoured whiskey category with the launch of Jim Beam Apple.
