Police seized more than 11,000 litres of illegal liquor from a house in Qatar

Officers from the Ministry of Interior (MOI) arrested the three individuals after a routine patrol stop of a “suspicious” white vehicle, reports Daiji World.

The driver initially fled the vehicle when the authorities approached but was later caught.

Police uncovered approximately 350 1.5 litre bottles inside the vehicle filled with a “liquor-like” substance.

The driver confessed to producing illegal alcohol with the aid of two others in his home.

A raid of the man’s property revealed distillery equipment, supplies, 1,220 water bottles and 55 200-litre barrels all filled with alcohol.

The authorities told the news site the other two men involved in the case admitted they had been selling illicit alcohol and were handed over to the public prosecutor’s office to be formally charged.
