New London bar pairs gelato with cocktails

Flavour experts at World of Zing have teamed up with Black Vanilla Gelateria to launch London’s first cocktail and gelato pairing bar, Grown-Ups.

The Bordeaux Barrel Aged Negroni: A mix of Tanqueray Gin, Campari, Martini Rosso and Zing Serenity Bitters, paired with Sicilian Lemon Sorbetto

The new ice cream bar, which can be found above Black Vanilla in Greenwich offers a unique pairing menu – combining a variety of mixed drinks with flavoured Sorbetto.

World of Zing,  a “contemporary food and drink emporium,” have provided a cocktail programme featuring drinks tailored to match a specific gelato.

The menu features drinks such as the Bordeaux Barrel Aged Negroni, a mix of Tanqueray Gin, Campari, Martini Rosso and Zing Serenity Bitters, paired with Sicilian Lemon Sorbetto; and the Steel Aged Manhattan, a combinations of Bulleit Rye Whiskey, Martini Rosso, Zing Anaesthetic Brandy and Zing Euphoric Bitters served with Black Cherry Sorbetto.

Other pairings include Blackberry & Tamarind Rum Punch with Pink Pigeon Vanilla Spiced Rum, Honey & Chamomile Water, served with Mango Sorbetto; and Persian Lime & Nori Seaweed Margarita with Ocho Tequila, paired with Kiwi Sorbetto.

Grown-Ups in open from 12pm to 12am, Friday to Sunday, from 12 June onwards.

Recently, Ice & Slice by Shot launched a new ice cream “bar” offering alcoholic gelato.
