Hi-Spirits to launch Lazzaroni Amaretto in the UK

Hi-Spirits has agreed a distribution deal to bring Lazzaroni Amaretto to the UK to cater for growing consumer demands for lower abv spirits.

Created by Paolo and Davide Lazzaroni in the Italian town of Saronno from an old family recipe, brand owner Paolo Lazzaroni and Figli has partnered with Hi-Spirits to launch Lazzaroni Amaretto in the UK on- and off-trade.

The brand is the “only” Amaretto made from an infusion of Amaretti del Chiostro di Saronno biscuits rather than essence to deliver a “distinctively rich flavour and aroma”.

“Lazzaroni Amaretto is already appreciated by those ‘in the know’ as one of the earliest and most authentic amarettos,” commented Dan Bolton, managing director of Hi-Spirits.

“We’re delighted that bringing this iconic Italian brand into our portfolio means that it will be even more widely enjoyed.

“Amaretto is a classic aperitif served chilled over ice or in a wide range of cocktails and mixed drinks and is also an essential ingredient in many Italian desserts.

“Growing interest in authentic drinks, as well as the increasing number of consumers looking for lower abv spirit, will both help drive demand.”

Lazzaroni Amaretto has an abv of 24% and will be sold at an RRP of £19 per 700ml bottle.
