Jura launches limited edition Tastival 2015 Scotch

Whyte & Mackay has unveiled its limited edition Jura Tastival 2015 bottlingJura Tastival 2015 has been aged in sparkling wine casks sourced from the House of Bouvet Ladubay in Saumur, Maine-et-Loire, France, and has been bottled at cask strength.
Matured for 18 years, the whisky is described as having a flavour of raspberries, spice, blackcurrants, ginger and pears. It has been launched to coincide with Jura Distillery’s annual Tastival festival, which began today.
“Our annual Tastival celebrations are much anticipated by Jura fans, so it’s fitting that we release an extraordinary, limited edition single malt each year to mark the occasion,” said Willie Cochrane, Jura Distillery’s manager.
“This year’s festival focuses on bringing taste to life, and Jura Tastival 2015 does just that, with a fruity, character-filled dram, that we’re sure our customers will interpret in a number of exciting ways.”
Only 3,970 bottles of Jura Tastival 2015, bottled at 52% abv, have been released at an RRP of £85. The expression will be available at the festival, as well as from specialist whisky retailers.
Jura has also partnered with Drygate Brewing Co. to launch a limited edition craft beer to pair with Jura Tastival 2015.
