Ten armed men raid Indian distillery

A gang of 10 masked men armed with guns and swords stormed a distillery in Goa, India, local reports claim.

According to Business Standard, the men broke into the unnamed distillery near Panaji – the capital city in the state of Goa.

The owner of the distillery filed a police report stating the men herded distillery workers into a room, and held them there at gunpoint.

Bandits tied workers’ hands with rope and taped their mouths shut, only to steal in LCD television worth Rs.40,000, the report claims.

Last month, the director of a distillery in Rampur, India, was held in connection with the suspected murders of two tax officials.

The officers were found unconscious at the Uttar Pradesh-based distillery on 2 March but were later declared dead at hospital.
