Global Spirits USA appoints sales director

Global Spirits, owner of Khortytsa Vodka, has appointed a national sales director to lead its wine and spirits portfolio in the US.

Steve Ackerman joins Global Spirits USA as national sales director

Steve Ackerman, formerly vice president, national sales manager of Van Gogh Imports, has joined Global Spirits USA as national sales director.

With over 25 years experience in the industry, including time sent with Allied Domecq and William Grant & Sons, Ackerman will lead and expand the US sales team, in addition to developing the group’s distribution network, strategic partnerships and national sales strategies.

Maksym Dubossarsky, CEO of Global Spirits, said: “Steve is a seasoned beverage alcohol professional with an incredible drive to succeed on our behalf.

“We’re looking forward to seeing the results of his creative drive and energy on behalf of our brands.”

Ackerman’s appointment comes just weeks after Global Spirits announced the restructuring of its US business, changing the name from Megapolis USA to Global Spirits USA.

Just last week it appointed Julius Criscione as managing director of both its domestic and duty free business in the region.

Global Spirits produces and sells Khorytsa Vodka, Morosha Vodka, Pervak Vodka and LEAF Vodka in over 80 countries around the world.
