C&K spreads American brandy message across US

The Louisville, KY-based distiller of American brandy and absinthe has extended its distribution partnership with Glazers to make its portfolio available in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Texas.

Copper & Kings’ American brandy and absinthe is spreading its availability across the US

It has also formed new partnerships with Atlantic Importing in Massachusetts and Advintage Distributing in South Carolina.

Joe Heron, founder of the brand, said: “Our partners all share the same qualities – no B-S, great to work with, do what they say and say what they do. Most of all they are enthused and energised by their craft, and that includes being the purveyors of superb craft-distilled spirits.”

Established in June 2014 by Joe and Lesley Heron, Copper & Kings is a modern, 200,000-case distillery boasting several events spaces, three copper pot stills and an underground maturation cellar.

Copper & Kings aids the maturation of its brandies and absinthes by basting heavy metal music at the barrels, the vibrations of which agitates the liquid inside encouraging interaction with the wood.

So far its portfolio includes a Distilled Brandy and Immature Brandy, both of which are bottled at 45% abv. It also produces an Absinthe Blance (65% abv) and three Vapor Distilled Absinthes: Lavender, Citrus and Ginger (also 65% abv).

All spirits are non-chill-filtered with no post-distillation addition of sugar, boisé (powdered oak, shavings or infusion), flavours or colours.

Copper & Kings’ portfolio is already available in Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Ohio, Tennessee and Wisconsin.
