New design for Old Grand-Dad Bonded Bourbon

Beam Suntory has unveiled a contemporary new bottle design for its Old Grand-Dad Bonded Bourbon.

The whiskey inside the new-look packaging was bottled in accordance with the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897

The brand was first created by Raymond B. Hayden and named after his grandfather, distiller Basil Hayden, whose image is still depicted on the front of every bottle amongst the new green and gold design.

Aged for four years at the Jim Beam plant in Kentucky, the whiskey was bottled in accordance with the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897.

This Act requires spirits to be produced in a single distillery season at a single distillery, and aged for at least four years with an abv of 50%.

The new-look Bourbon is said to have a medium-bodied taste with flavours of vanilla, corn and smoky oat,

The release of the new design goes hand-in-hand with a rising trend in Bourbon which is predicted to be the fastest-growing spirit category over the next five years.

Beam Suntory recently announced the release of Jim Beam Bonded, another expression produced in line with the Act.
