Andrew Forrester joins indie whisky bottler Gleann Mor

Former Balvenie UK brand ambassador Dr. Andrew Forrester has joined independent whisky bottler Gleann Mor Whisky Company as a consultant brand director.

Forrester, who spent six years working with William Grant & Sons UK on The Balvenie, will now assist Edinburgh-based Gleann Mor in sourcing rare whiskies from around Scotland for its collection.

“I am enjoying enormously the sourcing and sampling of a range of whisky for Gleann Mor,” Forrester said. “We secure ‘rare finds’ from the warehouses of Scotland to bring old and highly prized whiskies to the enthusiast.”

Forrester will also work with Gleann Mor to develop bespoke whisky tasting events.

Derek Mair, director of Gleann Mor, said: “With Andrew’s knowledge and experience, Gleann Mor is looking forward to introducing our range of rare whiskies to collectors and connoisseurs, through new reveals, whisky lunches and tasting events. We are excited to move the business forward and introduce our product to the worldwide whisky audience.”

Forrester left William Grant & Sons in the summer 2014 after a strategic reorganisation of the group’s UK arm saw 30 jobs axed.
