Win London Cocktail Week pop-up with Monkey Shoulder
Monkey Shoulder’s Ultimate Bartender Championship is returning to the UK, giving drinks-slinging teams the opportunity to run their own bar during London Cocktail Week (6-12 October).
The Monkey Shoulder Ultimate Bartender Championship returns to the UK for a second yearTeams of three bartenders from high-end to high volume establishments across the country are invited to take part in the competition that strives to improve teamwork as well as bartending skills.
The winning team will be given their own pop-up bar to operate during London Cocktail Week, which will be stocked and promoted by Monkey Shoulder. However, the team get to keep the takings.
Regional heats will take place in eight cities over nine days during March and April, from which the top three teams will face off in a Dragon’s Den-style round. Just three teams will eventually go through to the final on 4 June 2015.
Grant Neave, Monkey Shoulder UK brand ambassador, said: “Monkey Shoulder’s UBC was the first of its kind last year a competition that not only celebrated all aspects of bartending and bar ownership (from stock take to business plans), but also included all those who work in venues and make bars special. We were keen to not just glorify one single bartender.“
Entries are being welcomed from today (23 February) until 9 March.
