Single pot still fans given first NAS Redbreast Irish whiskey

Irish Distillers is rewarding members of its online fan club with an exclusive expression of Redbreast single pot still Irish whiskey available only to them.

Redbreast Mano a Lámh is the first no-age-statement single pot still whiskey from Redbreast

Redbreast Mano a Lámh, meaning ‘hand in hand’ in Spanish and Gaelic, is the first no-age-statement expression from the brand as well as the first to be matured solely in oloroso Sherry butts.

Just 2,000 bottles have been created exclusively for members of The Stillroom, part of the www.singlepotstill.com website that launched in 2011 to promote the group’s range of single pot still whiskeys.

Non-chill-filtered and bottled at 46% abv, the expression is described as having notes of “rich, ripe dark fruit”.

Brendan Buckley, global innovation and prestige whiskeys director at Irish Distillers, said: “Since its re-launch in May 2011, single pot still Irish whiskey has quickly established itself as the insiders’ Irish whiskey style of choice with the Redbreast brand very much at the vanguard of this revival. We hope that Redbreast Mano a Lámh will excite whiskey lovers, especially those who enjoy Sherried style whiskeys”.

Members of The Stillhouse are now able to purchase Redbreast Mano a Lámh for €65.
