Pernod Ricard reveals string of executive changes
By Becky PaskinPernod Ricard has appointed its head of Asia as its new vice-president overseeing growth initiatives for the next 18 months, among a string of new staff changes.
Pernod Ricard has announced the appointments as part of a strategy to accelerate its top line growthPierre Coppéré, who is currently serving as CEO of Pernod Ricard Asia, will assume the role of executive senior VP of growth initiatives, reporting into new group CEO Alexandre Ricard.
Based in Hong Kong, Coppéré will oversee the introduction of new initiatives to “accelerate top line growth”, one of the key areas of focus from the group.
Replacing him in his role will be Philippe Guettat, currently CEO of Martell Mumm Perrier-Jouet, who is also based in Hong Kong.
Replacing Guettat will be César Giron, currently CEO of Pernod absinthe, who will be based in Paris.
Philippe Savinel, current CEO of Ricard pastis, meanwhile has been promoted to Guettat’s position.
Elsewhere in the company, Peter Morehead, industrial director of Irish Distillers, will become group operations director from 1 April, based in Paris.
Meanwhile, Conor McQuaid, group marketin and commercfial development director, will as of 1 March, become global business development director.
