Jack Daniel’s leads top 10 spirits sold in Ohio

According to an annual report by the Ohio Department of Commerce, the majority of sales (60%) were driven by consumers purchasing premium and above products.
The off-trade accounted for US$677m, an increase of 6.6% on the previous year, while the on-trade sold US$272m, up 3.1%.
Volume-wise, the state sold 12.6m gallons (57.2m litres) of liquor during 2014, up 3% on the 12.3m gallons (55.9m litres) sold in 2013.
The top 10 selling spirits brands in Ohio during 2014 were:
- Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey – 364,060 gallons
- Crown Royal Canadian Whiskey – 292,772 gallons
- Captain Morgan Spiced Rum – 278,535 gallons
- Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey – 277,171 gallons
- Absolut Vodka – 272,987 gallons
- Bacardi Superior Light Rum – 271,429 gallons
- Smirnoff Vodka – 262,461 gallons
- Kamchatka Vodka – 261,149 gallons
- Jagermeister – 235,016 gallons
- Black Velvet Canadian Whiskey – 228,024 gallons
