International Spirits adopts new strategic plan
By Melita KielyInternational Spirits LLC, owner and importer of Ivanbitch Vodka, has created a new board of directors as it aims to implement a new strategic plan to become the first African American-owned alcoholic beverage firm in the US.
International Spirits has appointed a new board of directors as it launches a new strategic planThe new plan will “support growth” of the company’s Ivanabitch products, which also include gin and brandy, as well as the rum and Tequila products within its portfolio.
“We are extremely proud of our Ivanabitch brand, as well as, our expansion into the agency marketplace,” commented Steve Koegler, chairman of the board. “Now it’s time for the company to execute its new strategic growth plan.
“To do that we installed the new board and intend to expand our management team to accomplish the goal of becoming an MBE in the very near future.”
With products aimed at “millennial” consumers, the firm plans to acquire additional brands as well as completing its strategic plan.
Greg Pierce, executive vice president of sales and marketing, said he intends to focus on expanding the company’s brand stable and distribution network.
He added: “I am excited about the future of International Spirits, our new management focus, our proposed minority ownership status and our growth potential.
“We look forward to adding to our tea of strong distributors and supporting them fully.
“We will strengthen the Ivanabitch brand and develop new ones both in the United States and abroad by significantly increasing our marketing support and by adding additional product lines and services.”
