Brown-Forman renews India focus with GM appointment

Brown-Forman has appointed a new head operation in India, as the group continues its focus on the emerging markets.

Gustavo Zerbini will head Brown-Forman’s India operation as country general manager

Gustavo Zerbini, once international regional manager for Central and South America with Chivas Brothers, has now become the Louisville, Kentucky-headquartered American whiskey group’s country general manager for India.

Based in Delhi, Zerbini will oversee the development of Brown-Forman’s growth in the region, as well as serve as an active member of the global travel retail/India/Middle East/ Asia leadership team.

Zerbini joined Brown Forman in 2011 as marketing director for Paraguay, Uruguay and Brazil, before becoming commercial director of sales and marketing in Brazila year later, playing an “integral role” in Brown-Forman Brazil’s start-up and restructuring.

With 16 years experience, Zerbini also worked with Pernod Ricard Brazil and Seagrams Brazil in marketing, category and brand management positions.
