Beam Suntory announces Jim Beam Bonded

Beam Suntory has unveiled a new Jim Beam expression produced in a single distillery season at a single distillery, as a nod to the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897.

Jim Beam Bonded will be rolled out in the US from February

The Bottled in Bond Act of 1897 required also dictated that spirits must be aged for at least four years and carry an abv of 50%.

Jim Beam Bond is said to be a “true reflection of consistency and quality” and has been created in accordance with the act.

On the nose, the Bourbon is described as offering “oaky cooperage notes with a background of vanilla and caramel”.

The new release carries an RRP of US22.99 per 750ml bottle and will be available in select locations throughout the US from February.

A one litre bottle of Jim Beam Bonded will also be available to purchase.

Last week, Beam Suntory released a new version of its Jim Beam Rye using a pre-Prohibition recipe to give a “bolder” taste.
