Heaven Hill changes name for 80th anniversary
By Becky PaskinHeaven Hill Distilleries, one of the US’ largest spirits producers, has renamed its organisation as it celebrates its 80th anniversary.
The new logo for Heaven Hill BrandsThe group, which owns the Elijah Craig and Evan Williams Bourbon brands, is now known as Heaven Hill Brands to reflect the diversity of its spirits portfolio.
As well as producing Bourbon, the group also makes category-leading Christian Brothers Brandy, Burnett’s Vodka and Admiral Nelson’s Rum.
“Max Shapira, president of Heaven Hill, said: “Although some people may still think of us primarily as a Bourbon distiller, in reality, we are tremendously diverse, with brands in virtually every distilled spirits category.
“Our new name and logo illustrate that broader identity and will properly position us for the next 80 years.”
The announcement of the new name will kick off a year-long celebration of Heaven Hill’s 80th anniversary.
Now the sixth-largest spirits group in the US, Heaven Hill was founded in 1935 by the five Shapira brothers, who produced Bourbon and American whiskey.
The company is headquartered on land owned by William Heavenhill in the 18th century.
