Deep Eddy Vodka to launch Lemon flavour

Deep Eddy Vodka is readying to launch its first new flavoured expression since the opening of its 30,000 square foot distillery in Texas, Deep Eddy Lemon.

Deep Eddy Lemon will launch in the US in January 2015

Made using real lemon juice and Texas aquifer water, the new citrus expression is distilled 10 times to create a “smooth finish”, while the lemon is also filtered over charcoal to “preserve subtle flavours” during the filtration process.

“Citrus and lemon have been leading flavours within the vodka category for many years,” commented Eric Dopkins, Deep Eddy Vodka CEO.

“We are excited to bring a ‘fresh’ spin on a very traditional and proven flavour.

“The addition of Lemon to the Deep Eddy brand will continue to round out our flavour portfolio.”

Scheduled to launch in the US January 2015, Deep Eddy Lemon will be available from selected retailers in five different sizes: 50ml, 375ml, 750ml, 1L and 1.75L bottles.

Founded by beverage entrepreneurs Chad Auler and Clayton Christopher, Deep Eddy Vodka has experienced more than 200% annual growth since launching in 2010 and expects to exceed production of two million cases by the end of the year thanks to a US$13m investment for a new distillery.
