Edgerton Pink Gin Masters open for entries
By Melita KielyThe “world’s first” pink gin brand, Edgerton Pink Gin, has partnered with The Spirits Business to launch a new cocktail competition, The Edgerton Pink Gin Masters 2015.
The Edgerton Pink Gin Masters is now open for entries to all UK-based bartendersOpen to all UK-based bartenders, the competition encourages entrants to submit up to three bespoke cocktail recipes using Edgerton Pink Gin for the chance to have their name immortalised on their own limited edition batch of Edgerton Pink Gin, plus a full-page Bartender Profile in The Spirits Business.
Furthermore, the 10 final recipes will be included in an Edgerton Pink Gin Cocktail book to be published next year.
“I am incredibly excited to see what will be entered,” said Martin Gill, owner of Edgerton Pink Gin.
“This is a great opportunity for bartenders to gain some publicity through the magazine and cocktail book.
“What we are looking for from entrants is originality; something unexpected and unusual but at the same time keeping the pink colour of the gin.
“The competition is about celebrating the brand and the creativity of the bartending industry which is doing some remarkable things at the moment.”
Each finalist will receive a bottle of Pink Gin before the final in order to perfect their recipe ahead of the grand final, but no homemade ingredients will be permitted as each recipe must be easily recreated for the cocktail book.
Recipes must be submitted by 3 February 2015 and the final will be judged in central London on 17 February from 12pm-5pm.
