Cutty Sark unveils its oldest expression to-date

Edrington has released its oldest Cutty Sark blended Scotch whisky to-date – a 33-year-old expression featuring Art Deco packaging.

Cutty Sark 33 Year Old Art Deco Limited Edition is the brand’s oldest whisky to-date

Only 3,456 bottles of the limited edition have been released in commemoration of the first time Cutty Sark was introduced to the US market in the 1920s and early 30s.

“Following on from our multi-award winning Tam O’Shanter Limited Edition released in 2011, this is the oldest blended Scotch ever released by Cutty Sark, hand selected and crafted by Kirsteen Campbell, our master blender,” said Wendy Harries Jones, senior brand manager for Cutty Sark.

“We are genuinely excited by the stylish liquid created by Kirsteen, who keeps pushing the brand into exciting flavour developments. She set the bar very high with our Tam O-Shanter 25-year-old and has raised it even further this time.”

The Cutty Sark 33 Year Old Art Deco Limited Edition features a geometric gold and black bottle design and piano black wooden box. The limited edition set also contains two decorated glasses and 32-page Art Deco book.

Aimed towards “connoisseurs and collectors”, the new expression, bottled at 41.7% abv, is now available at an RRP of £650.

Last November, Cutty Sark released a limited edition Scotch whisky to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the repeal of Prohibition.
