The Dalmore unveils new travel retail whisky collection
Whyte & Mackay is to release a no-age-statement travel retail exclusive range of The Dalmore single malt Scotch whiskies, named The Fortuna Merita Collection.
The Dalmore Fortuna Merita Collection will be rolled out in travel retail next spring
Meaning Fortune Favours the Brave, the collection will feature three expressions, each of which is created to reflect the heritage of The Dalmore.
Master blender Richard Paterson visited the Gonzalez Byass bodega to personally select the Sherry casks used to mature the range.
The Dalmore Regalis, the entry-point of the range, has been matured in American oak casks and finished in oloroso Sherry butts. It carries an RRP of €75.
The Dalmore Luceohas been matured exclusively in oloroso Sherry butts for a more intense, chocolate and marzipan flavour, and retails for €85.
Finally, The Dalore Dominim has also been aged in Sherry butts and carries an RRP of €120.
At its official unveiling at TFWA Cannes this week, Paterson said the Fortuna Merita Collection is designed to “communicate the quality of wood in whisky”.
Francesco Scaglione, head of travel retail for Whyte & Mackay, said: “The Dalmore has excelled in travel retail over the last three years and now makes up the largest volume market for the brand.
“Our first travel retail exclusive, The Dalmore Valour, has performed phenomenally well and has pioneered the way for our newest collection.”
The collection will be rolled out into European travel retail from April 2015.
