Teeling’s new single malt aged in five wine casks

Teeling Whiskey Company has completed its core range of no-age-statement Irish whiskey with a Teeling Single Malt matured in five different wine casks.

Teeling’s Single Malt is the first Irish Whiskey to contain a marriage of whiskeys matured in five different wine casks

The third release in the company’s premium Irish whiskey range, Teeling Single Malt contains a unique combination of Irish whiskey aged up to 23 years in five different wine casks – Sherry, Port, Madeira, white Burgundy and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The group claims the combination of casks creates a “vibrant and balanced” flavour of dried fruit, citrus, vanilla, spice and cloves.

As with all whiskeys in the Teeling range, the Single Malt has been non-chill-filtered and bottled at 46% abv.

Jack Teeling, founder of the Teeling Whiskey Company, said: “We are delighted to be able to release another expression of Teeling whiskey that helps expand consumer choice and challenge existing perceptions of Irish whiskey.

“Our new Teeling Single Malt proves Irish whiskey can have big bold flavours that appeal to single malt drinkers without losing its distinctive Irish identity.”

The Teeling premium range also includes Small Batch Blended Irish Whiskey and Single Grain Irish Whiskey.
