Pernod rests future in hands of the young

Pernod Ricard is putting its future in the hands of its young employees through the creation of a youth-led think tank designed to keep the company relevant to a new generation.

The Pernod Ricard Youth Action Council is comprised of some of the drinks group’s youngest employees

The Youth Action Council, which is comprised of nine Pernod Ricard employees aged under 30 from across the company, aims to deliver a younger generation’s perspective on strategic issues to the group’s directors.

The council has been tasked with submitting innovative ideas to the French drinks producer, which in turn will be “rapidly transformed into concrete projects” to “help the group move forward”.

Alexandre Ricard, deputy CEO of Pernod Ricard, said: “These young employees are the spokespersons of a new generation that is vital to Pernod Ricard: I want to give them the opportunity to express their opinion and to share their vision for the future of the group.”

Underlining its faith in the Youth Action Council, Pernod Ricard is sending all nine members to the One Young World Summit – a meeting of young talent from global and national, NGOs and universities, as well as world leaders – to be in Dublin this week (15-19 October).
