The ever dashing Jude Law was also spotted out this week at Johnnie Walker’s exclusive whisky bash, titled Symphony in Blue: A Journey to the Centre of the Glass at Merchant Taylor’s Hall. Nearly 600 guests attended and were treated to an evening show filled with interpretive, theatrical whisky-tasting.
Mancunians headed to Kosmonaut this week for the Artis Barware Show, which provided guests with interactive and flamboyant demonstrations of the latest innovation in bar utensils.
Battersea’s Bunga Bunga celebrated its third birthday party this week, sponsored by Aperol. Guests were entertained by a Pavarotti impersonator, Latino band Colomboloco and feasted on a spread of Parma ham, cheese and birthday cake.
This week team sb headed to London’s Kensington Place to judge the Vodka Masters 2014. With more than 100 vodkas to taste on the day – a new record – it took two teams of judges to tackle the mountain of entries.
Johnnie Walker, official partner of the 2014 Ryder Cup, is creating a Johnnie Walker Experience, an exclusive pop-up installation for golfers, media and invited guests, at this year’s contest at Gleneagles. The experience will include a four-hole miniature golf course and aims to get 25,000 people to “Join the Pact” during the tournament by pledging to never drink and drive.
Fashionistas descended on London last week for London Fashion Week (LFW). To celebrate, Fashion’s Finest chose Disco to host its LFW after party, which saw guests drinking out of Belverdere-filled Disco balls.
Dubai Duty Free is celebrating having received two Gulf Business Industry Awards. George Horan, president of Dubai Duty Free, attended the awards ceremony in Dubai this week where he was presented with the 2014 Gulf Business Industry Award for UAE Company of the Year from Arlene Foster, minister of enterprise, trade and investment for Northern Ireland.
“Good things come in small packages,” or so the saying goes, and with that Hendrick’s Gin has launched a new 350ml Minisculinity Pack in leading supermarket stores throughout the UK. The Minisculinity Pack comes with a book of 12 cocktail recipes to offer consumers the chance to experience a selection of Hendrick’s serves at home.
