Stoli marketing chief joins Italian amaro group
By Becky PaskinStolichnaya vodka’s chief marketing officer has left the company to join Italy’s Montenegro Group as CEO.
Marco Ferrari has left Stoli to head up Italy’s Montenegro GroupMarco Ferrari, who counts Bacardi and Branca International on his CV, joined the Italy-based producer of amaro and brandy earlier this month.
He will lean on his 20 years experience in consumer goods to lead the group in its development of Montenegro Amaro and Brandy Vecchia Romagna, as well as a portfolio of other brands, including Olio Cuore, Bonomelli infusions and Polenta Valsugana.
Amaro Montenegro, a brand dating back to 1885, is the number one amaro in Italy, while Vecchia Rogamna is the leading brandy in the same market.
