Tails RTD cocktails gain Hi-Spirits distribution

The Tails range of RTD cocktails, packaged in a three-piece cocktail shaker, has gained UK distribution through Hi-Spirits.

Tails RTD cocktails are now available in the UK through Hi-Spirits

Initially launched in 2010, the Bristol-based business owned by Nick Wall has been reformulated and repackaged with help from Lucas Bols master distiller Piet van Leijenhorst.

The new recipes are now made with “even higher quality liquids” including Bols Liqueurs.

Wall said: “The high quality of the Tails range made the drinks industry rethink its view of pre-mixed cocktails when we initially launched in 2010. The new recipes, using even more premium ingredients, allow the range to genuinely compete with the best made-to-order cocktails. We’re delighted to be working with Hi-Spirits to take the Tails range to a wider market.”

To mark the new partnership, Tails is adding three new expressions to its range.

New to the “shaking” range is a 15% abv Mango Caipirinha, which joins the Mai Tai, Elderflower Collins, Cosmopolitan and Espresso Martini in 125ml shaker-style bottles at an RRP of £6. The latter two are also available in 500ml packs for £14.

Also new are two super-premium 20% abv stirring cocktails, the Ginger Old Fashioned and Dutch Bramble, available in 500ml bottles for £20.

Dan Bolton, managing director of Hi-Spirits, said: “With cocktail sales booming in the on-trade, pre-mixed cocktails play an important role for operators, particularly on occasions where the time or skills needed to mix drinks from scratch isn’t available. Many consumers also want to enjoy the experience at home without any compromise on quality.”

The whole range is available in both the UK on- and off-trade.
