Louis Royer’s overproof cocktail competition returns

Louis Royer is introducing its third annual Show Me The Proof cocktail competition, which is giving bartenders the chance to win a week’s trip to France.

Louis Royer’s Show Me The Proof cocktail competition returns for a third year

Designed to highlight the mixability of Louis Royer Force 53 VSOP Fine Champagne Cognac, the competition is open to US-based bartenders with entries being accepted between now and 15 October.

Its grand prize is a week’s educational excursion to France to visit Louis Royer Cognac’s cellars in Jarnac, as well as two nights in Paris. Two runner’s up will each receive US$1,000.

Nicolas Royer, newly named US brand ambassador, who is also a sixth-generation family member, said:  “These competitions, along with all of our concerted public relations and marketing efforts, have made Force 53 our portfolio’s shining star in the US. We will continue to leverage the overproof Cognac trend that we helped to create and reinforce our relationships with the bartending community that is making Force 53 such a success.”

Six finalists will be chosen to compete in New York infront of a panel of leading judges, including Dale DeGroff, Paul Pacoult, and Jerome Royer, Louis Royer’s master selector.

Last year’s joint winners were Pamela Wiznitzer of The Dead Rabbit in New York, and Sother Teague of Amor y Amargo.
