Mount Gay Black Barrel makes UK debut
Mount Gay Black Barrel has now been launched in the UK following its introduction into the US and global duty free.
Mount Gay Black Barrel is now in the UK following its launch in duty free last October and the US in February
While all Mount Gay rums are made from a blend of column and pot still distillates, Mount Gay Black Barrel contains a higher proportion of pot still rums that have been blended and matured in toasted oak and then finished in charred ex-Bourbon casks.
It is described as being a “bold tasting” rum with notes of “pepper, spice and wood”.
The expression, released as a celebration of the distillery’s 311-year anniversary, will be available in the UK through brand owner Rémy Cointreau’s new UK distribution subsidiary, for an RRP of £29.
Simultaneously, Rémy Cointreau is rolling out a packaging update to the rest of the Mount Gay portfolio, including 1703 Cask Selection, Extra Old and Eclipse.
